Patricia Velásquez
Creativity goes beyond the boundaries of
film, canvas, photographs and other media. It also spurs charitable as well as
philanthropy and activism. Patricia Velasquez is an award-winning model and
actress who has made history. Also, she is a staunch philanthropist. Author
activist, activist, author, and a loving mother. Whatever the case, she takes
huge advancements through drawing on her intuition and consciously paving her
own way. "I view my career like an endless staircase," she said. "I
have taken every step. It was truly amazing to do so, because there's been
endurance. I was never able to stop moving, simply sat down. The metaphor
closely resembles the moment of formation. In the following years she relocated
to Venezuela. She was born in Venezuela and was raised in France and Mexico. In
South America her parents worked in the field of education. They relocated
their family into an apartment building that was without water and had no
elevators. Patricia took 15 steps up using heavy buckets in order to provide
water to the area. In between studying engineering and a rigorous dance program
she tried to assist the family however she could. She was scouted to model in
Milan and her rise to the heights of the fashion world was based on a promise
made to her family and friends. She remembers being required to travel to Italy
to model for the fashion industry. "If I could just send thirty dollars
per month to Venezuela that would be worth it as it would pay for all the water
used in the structure." Patricia's achievements were a major event in
fashion in that she gained attention for South America for first time. Her
"first modeling gig Karl Lagerfeld photographed" was a huge break.
Her next step was to appear in fashion shows, front editorial spreads, and was
featured in advertisements for Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi. With
her worldwide fame, she was a part of Oprah and Ford Models' "Supermodel
of the World" contests as well. She was also featured on the cover of
Marie Claire, Bazaar and Vogue.
