Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from the United States. She was previously an anchor for TV on ABC News. She is
known for her work as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend from 2015 to
2018, and being co-host of The View from 2015 to 2018. She was also co-anchor
on America This Morning as well as World News Now. After graduating, she worked
in several communications-related jobs including an operations position at
Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to the lack of TV opportunities
the company employed her in radio sales. Her next job was a year as a
production assistant at WKEF/WRGT and later occasionally report and anchor.
Between 2002 and 2005, she was the weekend sports anchor and the weekday sports
anchor for WPO-TV in Cincinnati. The contract was ended and she was hired as a
reporter and anchor for NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 to
December 2011. She was employed by ABC News' news division in the month of
December. The 2nd of January, 2012 she made her debut on ABC's World News Now
and America This Morning. She also appeared as a fill-in on Good Morning
America as well as being a correspondent. Then she was made a New York-based
correspondent for all ABC News programs. She was host of America This Morning
and World News Now's final show on January 22 2013. On September 9, 2014, she
made her debut as co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend, following the
departure of Bianna Golodryga. Golodryga moved to Yahoo! News. News. It was
revealed on August 3 this year that she was renewed for for the twentieth
season. She was also renewed as co-host for Season 21. She was most visible
during the 22nd and 21st seasons of the series.
