Sarah Hyland
Sarah Hyland was the daughter of actors Melissa D. Canaday (New York City) and Edward James Hyland (New York City). She started her career in the business at the age of 4 when she began doing voice overs and commercials. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. The Object of My Affection was her next film. She starred on Another World (1964), as Rain Wolfe, a child who was found in a park and was fostered by Josie. Sarah would work with Amy Carlson ("Josie") several times more: Falcone (2000). Law & Order (1990). Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was chosen to play "Audrey Hepburn" in Jennifer Love Hewitt’s The Audrey Hepburn Story (2001). In the same year, she was cast as "Molly" in ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999). The show starred Kathy Bates, Audra Mcdonald, Victor Garber, Kristin Chenoweth, Joe Gould's Secret (2000) as well as Falcone (2000). Sarah has studied jazz, voice hip hop, tap, Theatre Dance and voice. She also performed in her class in tap and Theatre at "Reel to Real" at Lincoln Center as invited performers. Sarah was born in New York and raised in New York. After being taught at home by her mom, she went to public school through second grade. Sarah was accepted in 6th year to PPAS (Professional Performing Arts School), where she remained until she graduated in 2008 Sarah was just 18 when she moved to Los Angeles. She landed the pilot named "My American Family" within two weeks. When she was picked up, the name was changed to Modern Family (2009). To date, Sarah portrays "Haley Dunphy" the oldest Dunphy child. Modern Family (2009) has received numerous awards, most notably the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series.
