Magda Apanowicz
Magda Apanowicz (pronounced NOH-vitch) is a Canadian actress from Canada. Her roles include Andy Jensen, on ABC Family's Kyle XY, and Lacy Rand on Syfy's short-lived science fiction drama Caprica. Emily Hartwell (born Maya Hartwell), is her sci-fi series Continuum. In the past, she played Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is Polish and lived in Poland for a year during her ninth grade. She was raised by her uncle, and she attended Jelenia Gora School. She later attended Vancouver Film School. Her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10 and she was instantly attracted to acting. In 2002 she made her first appearances in the TV series Jeremiah. She also appeared briefly on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she was acting in the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. She was a part of Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original film, in 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a regular in the series) in the drama television series Caprica with Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. Hellcats was her next film. In 2012, she was an actor in Jane Espenson's second series, the romantic comedy web series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She also played Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film produced by Eli Roth. Though it was made in 2012, The Green Inferno was international made available in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science-fiction thriller film Volition. It came out in 2020. In the year 2019, Apanowicz was the lead character Sandy in the second season of the Netflix thriller You.
