Emily Swallow
American actress Emily Swallow was born December 18, 1979. Her performances in The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most well-known. Also, she is known for her character of The Armorer in The Mandalorian, the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also involved in the game video The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born December 18, 1979, in Washington, D.C. She lived in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. While at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, she began acting in a variety of college, amateur professional, and amateur theatre productions. She graduated in 2001 with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and later pursued an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.Swallow started her career in Broadway theatre which she acted in numerous productions including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world premiere of off Broadway shows Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She was one of the stars in the world premieres of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. Also, she starred alongside Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins’ production of Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. (citation needed) She was awarded the Falstaff Award in 2010 for the top female actor in the part in the role of Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. In 2012, Swallow and Jac Huberman co-created a stage play called Jac N Swallow. It was presented at Joe's Pub and the Laurie Beeckman Theater in New York. The show focuses on the comic misadventures of the duo who face different life challenges with varying degrees of sanity and decency.
