Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, who was born on July 23rd 1970 is an American actress. Cordelia Chase was one of the characters in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural thriller series (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She was also a star in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] daughter of Christine Carpenter, a bird sanctuary worker and Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French, and German descent. Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas; she was also a part of a song-and-dance troupe which was a part of the Las Vegas Valley when she was nine years old.When Carpenter was 15, her family moved to Rosario Beach, Baja California, Mexico and then to San Diego, California. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter went on a trip to Europe following her graduation. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics instructor and videostore clerk as well as a property manager. In 1991, she worked as cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male acquaintances were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex- San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them at gunpoint. Both of her friends and Hubbard were shot at during the struggle. Hubbard fled the scene and her two friends survived. Hubbard was taken into custody after being found guilty and sentenced 56 years in prison, for a series of sexual assaults. Carpenter had brought Hubbard his flashlight from the police station on the beach. He had left it in the area. This flashlight would become an important evidence piece against Hubbard.
