Gillian MacLaren Jacobs
Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was born on October 19, 1982. She is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Britta Perry in the NBC comedy series Community (2009-2015), Mickey Dobbs on the Netflix romantic comedy series Love (2016-2018) as well as Atom Eve on the Amazon animated series Invincible (2021). Mimi Rose Howard played a regular role in the fourth season of the HBO comedy series Girls (2012 until 2017). Gillian MacLaren Jacobs, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 19 1982. Her mother, Martina Magenau Jacobs, is employed in alumni relations at Carnegie Mellon University, while her father, William F. Jacobs Jr., was an investment banker. The death of her father occurred in 2013. Her mother raised her in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Her family owned the Erie Brewing Company (not the identical to the later brewery of that name). When she was a kid, Jacobs attended weekend acting classes at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. She performed regularly at the Pittsburgh Public Theater. There she won the public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest. That made her want to play Titania in their production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. After having graduated from Mt. in 2000, she graduated from Lebanon High School. Then she moved to New York City for the Juilliard School. There, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2004.
