Priyanka Chopra Biography

Priyanka Chopra was conceived in Jamshedpur, India on July 18, 1982. When she was at high school, Chopra won the Miss India pageant, and she was soon following it with the 2000 Miss World pageant as well. Following her international achievement, Chopra decided to pursue the film industry and became an important name in Bollywood. American television made waves in the form of Quantico which was an FBI thriller. It ran from 2015 to 2018. Chopra was also a big star in Bollywood when she got married to actor Nick Jonas. Her debut Bollywood film, The Hero - Love Story of a Spy was released in 2003. In the same year she was also in Andaaz. This started a long series of films that comprised Plan, Kismat (a romantic comedy about spying), Asambhav, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Aitrazz, and Asambhav -- all released in 2004. Though most of them did not make it to the top of the charts, Chopra's romantic comedy Mujhse Karogi was a hit. At the age of 20, Chopra made her debut in the 2002 film Thamizhan and followed it that same year with Jeet born to Win. Chopra said she was not happy with her debut. "I wanted to quit the industry once I did it! I didn't know what I was speaking about or doing." The actor and the actress Nick Jonas went public with their relationship during the summer of 2018. Their engagement was announced in July. Jonas is reported to have proposed on Chopra’s 36th birthday. They were married during an extravagant, multi-day wedding which started on December 1 and ended on December 1, 2018.
